Happy National Vodka and Taco day and Happy Birthday to my niece, Christina!
Darrel has been feeling pretty good the past couple of days. It is so strange how he goes from really bad to pretty good for no known reason!
He went fishing with his buddy, Max, yesterday morning (no catching, though) then came home and worked some on the wood pile. He took a nap then worked on the wood again.
He did seem to moan and groan a bit while sleeping last night but felt pretty good when he got up today. He helped pick tomatoes, then cleared some grass away from the South hill to the neighbors yard. He did lay down and put his legs up for a while as I was peeling the 6 gallons of Roma tomatoes.

Peeled and seeded tomatoes ready to cook down into tomato sauce
Then he came out and helped peel for a little while, but it bothered his hand/arm. Then he went out and picked all the poblano chiles, pruned an apple tree, then took a 2 1/2 hour nap!

That is a great big bowl, too. The chile on top is 9″ long! We have never gotten this many or that big of chiles before. Goes to show what a warm summer we had.
He just woke up and said he thought he overdid it yesterday. No kidding! He just doesn’t get the concept of pacing himself! But, he got to do things he likes to do so that is better than laying on the couch all day!

OK, I just published this post and he came back in the house after doing a walk around. He was holding his stomach and grunting. I guess his stomach has been bothering him all day (not like he tells me these things!)
When he woke up he did ask me if it was hot in the room, I had just had a bit of a hot flush myself but it is only 71 degrees in here. He took his temp and said it was 100.5. Or was it 101.5? He hasn’t been taking the metoclopramide as regularly as he should so that might be part of the problem. I guesss I need to start doling out his drugs to make sure he is doing it!
