Sea…Hawks! Sea…Hawks!

Seahawks Blue Friday: Fun day today. It rained almost all day so that kind of sucked. But we made the best of it.

We dinked around for a while in the morning, then the Bryant’s showed up. They got sort of settled then Marilee, Judy, and I took off to do a bit of shopping.

We headed to the Peoria Sports Complex area (where spring training for the Mariners takes place.) I am pretty familiar with that area from my years of Spring Training driving. We did some shopping for essentials like mixers, pillows (for me) and various other sundries.

Got back and unloaded stuff then Garry wanted to go to a furniture store by the stadium to check out a new recliner for the motor home. We found the perfect one for only $149 but he thinks it isn’t good enough and he wants black (even though the interior of the motor home is beige/browns and the chair was a nice chocolate brown leather. Oh, well, not my problem!

We then headed to the action next to the stadium. Still raining. There is an outdoor mall area that has a ton of restaurants and bars, and maybe a few shops… but there is a nice Fountain Park in the middle where they are having concerts every night.

We went into a bar for a drink and some nachos. We asked the waitress about the action (it’s all about the action, boss) that evening. She said there was a concert by the Fountain park, but even she didn’t recognize the singer/band.

We walked around the area and checked things out, but decided it wasn’t going to be worth the effort to come back, find parking, then stand in the rain for some music we had never heard of.

So, back to the RV park. Went to Bill and Judy’s for drinks and friends of theirs from Husky Bus came over to visit. We had a nice time visiting with everyone.

Then we headed to the bar and grill at the hotel next door for dinner. Most of us had the burgers which were pretty good. Garry lost a game of pool to a local shark. Then it was time to head back to the ranch, er, motor home.

Tomorrow is the Seahawk Fan Fest and/or Rally at the Diamondback Stadium. We plan on heading out fairly early and see how things go there.

Weather may or may not be getting better. I am not sure since I haven’t seen or heard the weather report today but originally it was going to be better, now, who knows!

Anyway, good times.

GO HAWKS!
