About 4 more hours until the game! We are excited and have all of our snacks and things ready to go.

Friday, Bill and Judy Bryant arrived in their 5th wheel rig. The girls went to the grocery store and Target for some supplies. Then Mar, Gar, and I went to the stadium area, Westgate Entertainment District, and saw the happenings there. Lots of people, bars, restaurants. We shared some nachos at Calico Jack’s then wandered around.

Saturday we went to downtown Phoenix and wandered around there for a little while until it started pouring down rain! We ran for a restaurant to get lunch and wait out the rain. That didn’t work!

Next we headed to the Seahawks 12 rally at the Diamondback’s Chase Field. It is very similar to the Mariner’s Safeco Field. There were thousands of crazy fans waiting to get in. Cheers and chants of Sea Hawks were heard constantly. Once we went through the security of metal detectors and bag check, we went down on the field. Lots of free give aways like 12 flags, towels, capes, green fuzzy hair hats, games, and live music.

Towards the end they showed a recap of the games this year. It was funny because when they showed the Kearse catch in overtime against the Packers, the whole place got kind of quiet, like everyone was holding their breath to see if he caught it. When he did, the place went nuts! Almost like being there again!

Steve Raible came out and announced that the person who had thought of doing the rally was there and Paul Allen came out and thanked everyone for coming. Then the members of the Ring of Honor were announced along with other former Hawks. It was pretty exciting. But the best part was people watching. There must have been 10,000 plus people there.

The 12s are going to take over the Super Bowl today and make it just like a home game.

Almost forgot, this morning as I was lying in bed I heard some sirens on the road a ways away from us. Then I kept hearing cars drive by the motor home. I hadn’t heard any in the mornings before this and thought, Hmmm, leaving for the game pretty early. I finally looked out the window and saw one, then another cop driving by. I got up and looked out the front window and saw 6 cop cars parked right in front of us.

We watched that for a while and saw them talking to some people from the motor home in front of us. Garry went out and asked someone later what was happening. He said he had been robbed at gunpoint that morning!

Well, that kind of freaked us all out a little. Later on, Bill Bryant talked to someone else who said they guys had hired hookers earlier. Well, with hookers come more than just STDs, I guess! What idiots!
